Laura Mayer is a Danish/German mezzo-soprano currently based in Oslo, Norway, where she is part of The Wilhelmsen Opera Studio for Young Singers (WOYS) at The Norwegian National Opera and Ballet (DNOB).
 

In the 2025/26 season Laura Mayer will be performing The Kitchen Boy/Turnspit (DvoÅ™ák: Rusalka), 2nd Lady (Mozart: The Magic Flute), Lucretia (Britten: The Rape of Lucretia) and cover Olga (Tchaikovsky: Eugene Onegin).

The past two seasons included roles as Dorabella (Mozart: Cosi fan Tutte, DNOB), Flora Bervoix (Verdi: La Traviata, DNOB), Frantik (The Cunning Little Vixen, Regie: Stefan Herheim, conductor Edward Gardner, DNOB), La Badessa (Puccini: Suor Angelica, Copenhagen Opera Festival), Holofernes (Vivaldi: Juditha Triumphans, Theatre Academy August Everding) and The Psychiatrist (Venables: 4.48 Psychose, Theatre Academy August Everding)


Laura Mayer is very active on the concert platform in especially Oratorio (Bach: St. Matthew Passion, Händel: Messiah), and has performed other concert repertoire with orchestras such as The Munich Symphony Orchestra, The Danish National Symphony Orchestra, The Odense Symphony Orchestra and The Philharmonic Orchestra of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck. In 2024 Laura Mayer performed lied-repertoire (such as Mahler: Kindertotenliederwith pianist Gerold Huber 

Laura Mayer has a Master's degree from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Munich (HMTM) and has studied a Master in opera performance at The Bavarian Theatre Academy August Everding in the class of KS Professor Christiane Iven.
